The industrial scenario in which the RASP project applies is the manufacture of printed products, a process based on old printing technologies where many tasks are performed manually by human operators. Most of these tasks are tedious, monotonous, and very
repetitive, so perfectly suitable for robots rather than for humans. The RASP project aims to automate some of the central operations in this industrial process in order to relieve the operator of those tasks and allow him to focus on more complex operations such as monitoring the production to avoid bad quality products.
